Today, I want to show you how quickly I can go from “I have an idea for a video” to “I'm recording a video” in my video-optimized office.
Let's say I'm at my desk working and decide to record a video. It’s easy to accomplish in just a few steps:
- Open RiversideFM (the online studio I use to create all the videos you see).
- Click Join My Studio.
- Press Record, and start talking!
In the video above, I talk for just a moment, sharing how quick and easy it is to move from idea to completion of a video. I also share a little bit more about my setup—how it looks like a video studio but I'm actually just sitting at my desk in my video-optimized office, which is a 10’ by 11’ extra room in my house.
I then end the recording, and it’s ready to go in less than two minutes!
Then, I send the video to the great folks at Nectafy, who will take the video, evaluate it, edit it, turn it into various assets (including blog and social media components), and then ensure it’s posted where it needs to go.
The only effort I put in was to have the idea and press a few buttons! I click record and I'm done.
It’s simple, it’s efficient, it’s effective—and, yeah, it’s fun!
